Healing process
You should relax for approx. 3 – 5 days after the operation and not engage in any strenuous activities or work. It is necessary to wear a supportive compression garment for 4 weeks.
Sports activities should be discussed with us beforehand and can be resumed after approx. 2 – 4 weeks.
Side effects and risks
Every medical-surgical procedure involves risks, which are often very low but simply exist. In the case of a BBL’s own fat method (polifting), these are as follows:
- Swelling and bruising
- Numbness and pain
- Pulmonary embolism
- Fat embolism
- Stretch marks
- Hematoma
- Partial loss of the fat graft due to non-compliance with post-operative instructions
This aesthetic operation is currently in vogue. Nevertheless, you must be aware that there is a risk of pulmonary embolism. Your surgeon needs the best experience in areas such as autologous fat, lipotransfer and tissue structures. It must be carried out in a highly concentrated manner with perfect surgical planning.
