Minor operations are performed on torn earlobes or dilated ear holes. Here tears or holes can be closed in a short operation of approx. 30 minutes.

One of the most common aesthetic surgeries is the correction or even placement of protruding ears. Other names are Auricle Incision, Otopexy or Anthelixplastik and can refer to a long history.

The surgery of protruding ears is performed in grade 1 dysplasia, which means that the anatomical structures of the auricle are present and no "reconstruction" is required.

In principle, the correction of the ears can be done at any age. For children, it is often advisable to have this done up to the age of 12 or 14. Especially in childhood, small daisies can lead to problems with self-esteem. The correction is often recommended at the age of 5 years before starting school.

While smaller children are operated on under general anaesthesia, schoolchildren and adults are given " half-sleep ".

In addition to the "classical techniques" there is today an innovative method Earfold™. The method has some advantages.

  • minimally invasive
  • ambulant
  • fast recovery
  • the result can be displayed before the operation
  • no wearing of headband

The Earfold™ is made possible by the use of a small implant (24 carat gold) that is positioned at the site of the ear to obtain the desired shape.
